Book Review Policy

If you have a book you would like me to review, please contact me here.
I accept review opportunities from traditionally and independently published authors.
I read middle-grade, young adult and adult fiction, and I generally review books in the following genres:
Fantasy
Sci-fi
Poetry
Mythology retellings
Short stories
Magical realism
I do not review books from the following genres:
Romance
Religious fiction
Most non-fiction*
I am particularly interested in mythology and folklore retellings.
*I may review certain non-fiction titles, so please feel free to contact me, as I will assess each enquiry individually.
Where I Post My Reviews
I generally post my reviews on one or more of my social media platforms, including this blog. If there is a specific social media platform where you would like to see me post a review of your book, please include this in your enquiry.
Right To Review
I reserve the right to not review a book which I have been sent. This usually only happens if there is triggering content and I am unable to finish the book. If this is the case, I will usually post about the book, sharing a synopsis in order to share the book with my followers without providing a full review.
Review Format
I cannot guarantee to provide a positive review, as I review all books honestly. I will usually include a star rating in my reviews, alongside ‘things I liked’ and ‘things I didn’t like’
Please bear in mind:
I am based in the UK, and usually only accept physical review copies (this is due to my dyslexia, as I struggle to read eBooks)
I am currently studying, so I may taking on fewer review opportunities.
Where I am unable to complete a full review (either because the book was not for me, there was triggering content, or I was just not able to complete the book), I will endeavour to post at least a short review and/or a release date promotion for the book in question.
